Kahr Serial Numbers Production Dates

  • The serial number is usually the key to determining the manufacturing date (aka 'age') of most major home appliances. You can use our age finder service to try to find out how old your appliance may be.
  • Dates of Production by Model and Serial Number for Model 70 Year: Serial Number at Start of Year: Number Produced: 1935: 1: 19: 1936: 20: 2218: 1937.
Date

11= Factory code ( manufacturer code for what plant it was built in ) 12,13,14,15,16,17= Vehicle Identification Number ( serial number ) So for example a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja 500 would look something like this JKA GM71A X 3 2 123456 JKA= Japan,Kawasaki,Motorcycle GM71A= Multiple cylinder sport/street, 400-499cc, 4stroke four, Version1, Base model. The first section of numbers in the serial number is the model number, and the second set of numbers represents the manufacturing date. The first part of the serial number is your model number. It is a series of 8 to 9 letters and numbers specific to your model. Manufacturing Date.

So, in my example:
0 – in this case probably year 2000, (they don’t provide for producing an exact model over 10 years!)
J – August
123 – batch #123
987 – radio # 987 in batch 123
